Pange Reef 14 meter depth. Ideal for novices, nightdive too. Pipefish, nudibranches, dolphins, turtles. Bawe Island (north) 10 meter depth. Corals around a sandy botttom. Lion fish, turtles, crocodile fish and reef sharks. Bawe Island (south) 18 meter depth. Splendid night dives. Dolphins, moray eels, crayfish, octopuss, leaf fish. The Wreck 12 meter depth. Few remainings but plenty of nice fishes and a wide variety of beautiful corals. Fungu Reef 15 meter depth. Sandy bottom surrounded by lots of coral bomi and hundreds of fishes. Murogo Reef (north) 25 meter depth. Shallow coral down to the sand, skyscraber corals and big towers around. Possible to meet dolphins and big sea turtles, lots of coloured reef fishes. Murogo Reef (south) 25 meter depth. Diving through the reef with corals on both sides. |

The north-east point of Zanzibar lies on the migration route of mantas, wales and walesharks. Most of the year you will find the beautifully-patterned Striped Dolphin, but the Bottlenosed, Spinner and common Dolphins also occur in the clear waters around Mnemba Atoll. Many coral species are to found here as well : Mushroom, Honeycombe, Brain and Staghorn Coral, to name just a few. An excellent photographic opportunity both above and below the water. |
